This week I did not get much accomplished however I interviewed a women who is in her late 40's by the name of Heidi my interviewer tells the story of her first love. "The best moments of my life" she describes it as the best moments of her life, she began dating her significant other in the early 2000's she described the beginning of their journey as easy going like many couples would. She told how he expressed his love by writing letters to communicate even in the littlest ways with her. When asked the question "Do you believe love is an addiction" she answered yes " I believe love brings out emotions and thoughts that not even the brain itself can understand.

Researchers who looked at the Magnetic Resonance of the brain proved that "Intense passionate love uses the same system in the brain that gets activated when a person is addicted to drugs" says Arthur Aron a psychologist at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Experts have said that romantic love is one of the most powerful emotions that you can have, it leads you to be happy or sometimes even anxious or even compared to an "emotional roller coaster" which comes from the pleasure center in the brain. Scientist have said love can be compared to an addiction it is not necessarily  a bad comparison to it, but as it is in a way triggers the same thing in the brain a drug would do.

This week I interviewed a couple who fits in the category of " High School sweethearts" this couple has been together since their Junior year in High School and still value each other as when they first met. The couple is now in their late 20's, they tell the story on how they have witnessed on how the little things of love have changed over time.

Reflection

This week I interviewed my second expert of the name Bridget who is in her 40's, and some things I learned from this person was very interesting the person I interviewed was a divorced women who was married for 6years she told the story on how she married the person she thought would be the love of her life at a young age. She told a story on a very common mistake many young people make " settling down to young". She explained how here relationship had changed from when she remembered dating in her early 20's  Her story was amazing and I look forward to you all seeing her story in the conclusion of this project.

What is love is there a difference between loving someone and being in love?

Love-an intense feeling of deep affection.

Being in love- Being in love with someone means you want to spend the rest of your life with this person and you can't see yourself with anyone else but that person.

what are your opinions on love do you believe that there are two different types of views on love do you believe one is capable of loving someone but not being in love.

During this project my partner and I hope to answer the main question has the definition of love change over time. This question interest us because people of an older age with their significant other that been together for years and now a days marriages do not really last long, the longest the last is recorded to be 8years. The goal for our project is to see the difference of love throughout time and different types of people who go through it.

What is it that makes the topic love so powerful? what is it about relationships that create a bond some may even claim to be "Worth dying" for. Researcher with a Phd in Psychology Arthur Aron say  “The reason people are so attracted to cocaine is that it activates the area of the brain that makes you feel good,” this happens to be the area that is activated when people are experiencing the intense desire of romantic love. Love affects the brain giving it a feel good sensation the same way addictive drugs do caused by the dopamine a chemical in the brain.




The topic of love made it ABC News on July 10,2010 this time information from an anthropologist at Rutgers University on the similar topic of love being an addiction. What is it about your significant other that makes you feel as if you cant live without them? what lead to this? what this a drug you could not get yourself off of? what was it like when you looked the the person you love in the eyes for the first time? has your views ever changed?
